PERSONAL PROFILE
WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATION AND GENERAL SERVICES.
As the Vice Principal Administration and General Services, I support the Principal in providing strategic leadership for the institution. My core responsibilities include overseeing non-teaching staff, ensuring the effective management of the institute’s facilities and infrastructure, coordinating student services.
Key functions of my office include:
- Maintaining accurate staff and student records.
- Upholding discipline and ensuring compliance with Ghana TVET policies.
- Supervising infrastructure, logistics, and general services.
- Deputizing for the Principal as required.
- Serving as Secretary to the Board of Governors.
I remain committed to fostering a safe, efficient and supportive environment that enables teaching. learning, and institutional growth.
PROFILE
Marian Mawusi Dogbefu hails from Atikpui in the Ho municipality of Volta Region (Ghana).
Ms. Dogbefu completed her basic education at Atikui Local Authority Junior Secondary School and a proud product of OLA Secondary School, Ho and St. Francis Training College now St. Francis College of Education, Hohoe where she graduated in 1995, 1998 and 2002 respectively.
She taught Science and Mathematics at Bame-Awudome E.P. JSS from 2002 to 2005.
She also taught Chemistry and Integrated Science at Taviefe SHS from 2009 to 2021, where she held positions, such as form mistress and the Head of Science Department. She was also the treasurer of the thrift and loan and the school’s welfare association for close to a decade.
Ms. Dogbefu holds a B. ED in Science (Chemistry) in 2009, a Masters of Arts in Environmental Management and Policy in 2015 and M. Ed Administration in Higher Education in 2021 all from the University of Cape Coast.
She rose through the ranks from teacher to Deputy Director in Ghana Education Service
Ms. Dogbefu was appointed Vice Principal and was reposted to Kpando Technical Institute in March 2021 as the Vice Principal Welfare and now the Vice Principal Administration and General Services.
Recent Workshops and Seminars
Institutional level capacity building workshop towards the implementation of the interim harmonized curriculum for pre-tertiary TVET Institutions (18th -22nd September, 2023) held at Kpando Technical Institute.
Capacity building workshop on environmental safeguards. (18th– 22nd November 2024) held at Volta Serene, Ho
Training on the current salary structure grading systems and payroll audit management in the public sector (3rd – 4th April 2025).
Gender Responsive and Inclusive Pedagogy (GRIP) Trainer of Trainers (7th -12th September 2025) held at Joko Hotel, Achimota.
Ms. Dogbefu is objective and open minded. A team player and someone who is able to quickly adjust to any environment she finds herself. She is challenged to take any leadership position.
