Welcome message from The Welding & Fabrication Department

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the Welding and Fabrication Department—a place where metal meets mastery, and every spark ignites a journey of skill and innovation. This department is more than a training ground; it is a forge of discipline, creativity, and technical excellence. Whether you’re here to begin your path as a welder or to refine your fabrication expertise, you are stepping into a community that values precision, safety, and the power of hands-on learning.

As we embark on this academic journey together, let us embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with shaping raw materials into purposeful structures. Welding and fabrication are not just trades—they are the backbone of industry and infrastructure. Here, you will learn to transform ideas into durable realities, guided by experienced instructors and supported by modern tools. Welcome once again, and may your time in this department be marked by growth, achievement, and the pride of craftsmanship.

about us

Brief History of Welding & Fabrication Department

Welding and Fabrication Technology Department was among the first few  departments introduced during the establishment of the Institute.

It was introduced to train learners in welding and fabrication of metal artifacts.

The department has since grown and produced lots of students to feed the welding and fabrication industry whiles more student are being trained yet further.

About us

We Train Learners With Skills for the Industry

Contemporary teaching of welding and fabrication in Kpantech emphasizes industry relevance, digital integration, and entrepreneurial readiness.

Curricula increasingly incorporate engineering drawing interpretation, safety protocols, and soft skills like communication and teamwork. Some schools also adopt simulation tools and modular training systems to enhance learning outcomes and reduce material waste. This shift reflects Ghana’s broader TVET transformation agenda—preparing learners not just for employment, but for innovation and self-employment in a rapidly evolving industrial landscape.
