Brief About Automotive Engineering
The Automotive Engineering Department formerly known as Motor Vehicle Engineering was one of the main department introduced with the establishment of the Institute
Aims and Objectives.
The main aim and objective of the department is to train Automotive expect for the job market. Initially, the examination and certification of students in the department were done by City and Guilds of London institute. However, the students are currently certified by The Commission for Technical Vocation and Training (CTVET).
challenges
- Inadequate classrooms and furniture for students
- Some equipment in the department also needs retooling
- The department needs a maintenance officer to enable teachers in the department have full attention for classroom and practical work.
Conclusion
The department salutes the hardworking teachers and urge them on despite the hard conditions under which they work.
