Introduction Furniture Design & Construction Technology

The Furniture Design and Construction Technology Department is responsible for movable articles that are used to make a room or building suitable for living or working in. We give support to various human activities such as seating, sleeping etc.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The Department Aims at training learners to:
- Acquire the requisite knowledge, skills and attitude for the world of work and attitude for further Technical Vocational Education and Training.
- Acquire the techniques for solving problems in Furniture Design and Construction and production industries
- Acquire skills and knowledge in operating machines
- To develop positive attitudes towards application of practical skills in safe use of tools, judicious use of materials and time in the workshop and proper care and maintenance of tools and equipments.

- Almost 80% of our machine tools in both the old and new machine shops are not functioning.
- The department lack hand tools
- The Vocational Skills Project shed(VSP) gradually turning into a death trap
