about us

Brief History of Mechanical Engineering Technology Department

The Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the pioneer departments in the institute and was originally called Mechanical Engineering Craft Practice(M.E.C.P). In the eighties, City and guilds of London Institute sometimes examine students mainly in machine work and in those times the programme referred to as the Metal Machining.

The products of the department feed many Ghanaian and West African industries as well as those of the diaspora. You can find them in Ghanaian industries such as Nestle Ghana Limited, Volta River Authority, Ghana water Company GHACEM, GHAPOHA etc.

About us

We Train Learners With Skills for the Industry
