

DEPUTY CEO OF TREE CROPS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, Mr. RICH KOFI KOFITUO, SUPPORTS KPANDO SCHOOLS WITH 600 TREE CROP SEEDLINGS
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Tree Crop Development Authority, Mr. Rich Kofi Kofituo, has donated a total of 600 tree crop seedlings—comprising 450 oil palm and 150 coconut seedlings to three prominent schools in the Volta Region: Kpando Senior High School (KPASEC), Bishop Herman College, and Kpando Technical Institute (KTI). Each school received 150 oil palm and 50 coconut seedlings as part of a broader initiative to promote tree crop cultivation among the youth. At KTI, the Principal,Mr. Samuel Happy Kwadzo Avevor received the seedlings on behalf of the staff and students, with Madam Josephine Amegah, Head of the Agriculture Mechanization Technology Department, and Mr. Yohaness Akrofi, AVT Project Coordinator, also in attendance. Bishop Herman College’s Headmaster, Mr. Kofi Dominic Kudolo, and KPASEC’s Senior Housemaster, Mr. Mawuli Gadagoe, respectively received the donations on behalf of their schools.
During his visits, Mr. Kofituo took the opportunity to engage with students, highlighting key government policies related to agriculture and encouraging them to view tree crop farming as a viable and financially rewarding venture. He also emphasized the importance of academic commitment and urged students to give back to their alma maters after graduation, noting that strong alumni networks contribute significantly to school development. Mr. Kofituo further assured that other neighboring schools would benefit in subsequent donations. His efforts in supporting schools and promoting sustainable agriculture are commendable and reflect a deep sense of civic responsibility.
